and I built KeyMedia Group from the ground up. I have worked in the entertainment industry since I was nine years old, touring in Summer Stock musicals and singing my heart out.
As I matured, music became an even bigger part of my life. I began to play gigs in NYC nightclubs such as CBGBs, taught myself to play the piano and I began to write songs. I was signed to lucrative publishing deals and sang on hit records in both the UK and USA. I have always produced or co-produced my own songs as well as many other artists and colleagues with hundreds of hours in recording studios around the world, not to mention the hundreds of hours spent devising, making and editing music videos.
In 1997, I decided to take greater control of my career and started KeyMedia Group as an independent record label, in order to be able to release my own music. Over the years, as I have taken on clients, the company has expanded to better serve the needs of the people I work with.
With the fickle ebbs and flows of the music business, it was sometimes necessary to take on additional work. Little did I imagine then that my fallback job of managing events on yachts, in public venues and private homes, would help me to one day launch Denise Marsa Productions. On the other hand, working my way up the ladder as an executive assistant to a senior public relations associate in a large corporation enabled me to then land roles as an executive publicist in several well-regarded boutique PR firms. This made KeyMedia Group’s expansion into public relations another logical step.
